The Paradise Collection

HAPPY NOVEMBER!

It has been a LONG time coming, but I am SO happy to finally introduce my Spring/Summer 2018 collection that I call "Paradise".

This collection has really been through the most. Like...really. Even though I planned it all summer, I only had about 6/7 weeks to get it together, but it was all absolutely worth it. With this collection, I was able to:

  • Showcase at my very first fashion week, Omaha Fashion Week!

  • Do another one of my fun photoshoots with good company

  • Showcase this collection AGAIN right here in Downtown LA through my good PRJ friend, Chelsea Ma, who organized a whole charity fashion show herself.

14 looks. 27 pieces. The last 3 months have truly been WILD.

I'll say this about every collection...but this was probably the best work I've put out as a whole. The biggest collection I've done so far. Each collection I strive to do better than the last, and this was exactly what I did. In a way, you could say I pretty much got my shit together for this one.

As for the inspiration for this collection, I was really driven to put out something new for myself. I knew that one way to do this was through working with prints, and that's exactly what I did. For those of you who've been following me for a while or know me personally, I'm typically a very "black and white" person when it comes to the color palettes I go for--lace, leather, all black everything. Since I love working with lace, I thought, "why don't I work with a floral or tropical print fabric?" So I went fabric shopping with an open mind, letting the fabric speak to me and I'd determine the color palette from there. Little did I know, the fabric I've been visualizing in my head was in a Hawaiian Fabric store I always go to, and that's where the collection was born.

My looks are definitely for the woman who wants their outfits to be fun to wear, versatile, and of course, comfortable. I put a modern twist to a vintage print. Many people aren't fond of big and wide prints, but as I did this collection and wore it out myself, I grew to love it. I hope you guys will enjoy looking at this collection as much as I had fun making it.

See you next collection! I know that the next one will be just as good, probably even better. Forever thankful for the opportunities that have come across my way in the last year and the people who've been growing with me.  Thank you to everyone who is keeping up with my journey, whether I know you personally or not. I appreciate every single one of you with all my heart. Have a great rest of the month.
