DIY Frozen's "Olaf" Outfit

I have a 2 year old goddaughter named Romi who is in LOVE with all things Frozen! I just knew I had to incorporate it into her Christmas gift from me. While I was in LA last weekend, I came across this cute Olaf fabric at Michael Levine's for only $7 per yard. The fabric itself has a cotton/fleece feel to it, and I thought it would be perfect to make some pieces for Romi. Here's what I came up with:

First, I made a pocket tee for her; one of my signature pieces because I used to run a small online pocket tee business. I bought a $3 tee from the Girl's section at Walmart, then used a pocket tee pattern I made. To make a pocket tee pattern, just follow the shape of a pocket of your choice, then leave about 1/2 inch of seam allowance all around.

I just had to make a circle skirt to go with the tee! I thought it was the most adorable skirt I have ever made - for a minute there I was a little jealous that it wasn't for me because it was that cute. I completely followed a circle skirt tutorial by Dana Made It: http://www.danamadeit.com/2008/07/tutorial-the-circle-skirt.html Coincidentally, we had the same waist measurements of 19 inches so it was very easy to follow!

Isn't she beautiful?! I wanted to take a picture of Romi wearing the outfit, but she was too invested and overwhelmed by all the presents she got to open. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
