Homecoming is always a night to remember. Although the process of choosing a dress, heels, and getting ready the day of becomes stressful for us ladies, I give us props because we always find a way to pull it together. This year marks my 3rd year of going to Homecoming. I have decided to make my own dress for this one to make the day a little more memorable. I haven't sewn clothing pieces since school started in September, so I thought now would be the perfect opportunity to experiment and get back on my grind.
As you can see, I decided to go with a simple two piece dress consisting of a halter top and a pencil skirt. White lace definitely gave that classy/girly feel, but I had to add my own edge to this look by finishing it off with my favorite leather jacket from H&M and my lace up heels from Aldo!
For my hair, all I did was curl it with a wand a brush it out. For my make up, I'm definitely not much of a make-up guru, and I hate the feel of foundation and powder on my skin. The only make up products I use on the daily are eyeliner, eyebrow pencils, and mascara, but for homecoming, I added a tad bit of eye shadow as well. I love to keep it natural!
I will have another blog post up with details of this DIY two piece dress! :)
Aren't my heels to die for?! I was last minute heel shopping the week of Homecoming, and once I saw these heels, I fell in love. They are also very versatile, and you'll definitely see these heels make a comeback in a future blog post.
And here's my wooooooonderful Homecoming date and photographer, Jaytee! We've gone to homecoming every year since I was a freshman. You can't really tell in this photo, but I also made him a matching lace tie. If you ever need a photographer in the SoCal area whether it's for fashion or leisure, he's your guy!
