Yes, I know. I haven't done an outfit blog post in the longest time! Here's a quick afterschool OOTD shoot I did a few weeks back featuring a few of my favorite pieces.
My outfit gives off a "grungy chic meets street luxe" style to it. If you know me well, you'd know that I love all things black, leather, mesh, and distressed: This outfit definitely covers all those points! My mesh top, halter crop tank, and pants are a DIY by me. I've been loving the mesh top trend this year, and it's a versatile piece that can easily be incorporated into a fall look like this one. Ripped and distressed jeans are probably the only jeans I wear, to be honest. Something about ripped jeans just give an effortless style and edge to an outfit. Okay sure, it may look like my bottom half got mauled by a bear, but at least it looks cute! I have thrifted these high waist jeans then used my seam ripper to go crazy with distressing....and I'm quite pleased with the turn out. I added my favorite quilted bomber jacket from Forever 21 to tie this look together, and of course you can't go wrong with a pair of broken in Doc Martens (which by the way, I live in them). To top off the look, I wore my "signature" circle sunnies that I love to death.
Shout out to the homie Jaytee for the wonderful pictures and dealing with my bossiness when we shoot. If you ever need a photographer in the SoCal area do me a favor and hit him up! Check out more from this shoot and his work on his Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/126935480@N05/
