DIY Mesh Crop Top

90's trends have been making their clear comeback in the fashion world. A big trend that many fashionistas and bloggers have been going for is layering. I've brought you guys a quick tutorial on how to make a mesh raglan sleeve top to put under your tanks and slip dresses!

Thanks to my favorite online fabric store, Fabric Wholesale Direct, they provided me with this awesome power mesh that comes in a variety of colors. It's super durable yet incredibly stretchy so it was perfect for this project! Be sure to check them out and use my code ysabel5 for $5 off any purchases over $35!

You will need:
 - 1 yard of mesh fabric
- stretch needle
- sewing notions (scissors, pins, something to mark with)

Difficulty: Beginning/Intermediate

Time needed: 1 hour

You might remember these patterns from an old tutorial I did!

To make this pattern the easy way, I suggest to take a halter top and trace around it. Give about a 1/2 - 1 inch seam allowance all around.

Cut two pieces out from each pattern.

Match the raglan sleeve with the main top and sew.

After you've sewn the raglan sleeve to the main top, sew the sides altogether as I've marked above.

Since the power mesh doesn't fray, you're able to just cut off any excess seam allowance and you don't even need to hem!

If you want, you can give a1 inch hem on the bottom of the top and around the sleeves.

If the neckline is too high, just mark off where you need to cut.

And you're done! I layered a denim top from my collection over it for a simple, sleek look.

Thank you so much for reading! Don't forget to check out Fabric Wholesale Direct for more tutorials and your fabric needs.
