LOOK 1
Model: Marin Chattong
Marin is walking around the local flea market wearing a double-layered cotton tank with elongated ribbing on the bottom layer. Each layer can be worn together or separately. The fabric was found by my aunt and bought by the bolt for $5 at a local discount store.
On the bottom is a denim asymmetrical pleated wrap skirt with a side tie. Denim patchwork made from upcycled pant legs donated by Melrose Vintage in Whittier, CA.
Styled with a triangle tote bag created from the leftover fabric.
LOOK 2
Model: AARIN BUTLER
Aarin is out on a solo photo walk wearing a double hem, ponte roma top with contrasting ribbing at the neckline.
On the bottom are hand-dyed, cotton twill shorts with a drawstring elastic waist, single welt pockets on the back, and double hem. The design is inspired by exposed pocket linings with a twist, featuring cargo pockets, d-rings, and elongated straps.
Styled with a cotton twill half vest. Details include a cargo pocket and adjustable D-ring on the side.
LOOK 3
Model: Judimae Angcaco
Judimae got out of yoga class wearing a ponte roma tank with contrasting white ribbing.
On the bottom are wide-leg pants featuring a drawstring elastic waistband with an adjustable ruching layer at the bottom of each leg. Details include a side and welt pocket combo connected to the exposed pocket lining design and cargo pockets.
LOOK 4
Model: CHRISTINE AWAD | website & Portfolio
Christine picked up her daily coffee and newspaper wearing a long-sleeved blouse with an all around ruched effect created with adjustable elongated drawstrings.
On the bottom is an upcycled denim skirt with an overlapping top layer to create a front slit. Details include a waistband-inspired hemline and back pockets stitched with the signature Hilado logo.
LOOK 5
Model: MALIA AZUCENAS | WEBSITE & PORTFOLIO
Malia went shopping wearing an upcycled denim jacket made from two pairs of pants along with the top layer of the double layered rib knit tank.
On the bottom are two-toned, wide leg denim pants with a pleated flare on the bottom. Details include a waistband and belt hoop inspired ruffle detail above the paneling, cargo style pockets with d-rings and elongated straps, and pockets with the stitched in Hilado logo on the back.
LOOK 6
Model: LEEZA VIVAS
Leeza picked up some flowers wearing a body-con, ponte roma dress with removable top tank layer that can be worn together or separately.
Details include contrasting white cotton ribbing all around, circular cutouts on the waist, and an invisible zipper closure.
LOOK 7
Model: RAVEN HOWARD
Raven is heading to the park wearing a double-layered cotton tank with elongated ribbing on the bottom layer. Each layer can be worn together or separately. The fabric was found by my aunt and bought by the bolt for $5 at a local discount store.
On the bottom are hand-dyed, cotton twill, wide-leg pants consisting of three-toned layers depicting an ombre effect. Details include adjustable drawstrings on the top two layers, a fly front zipper closure, and signature Hilado pockets on the back.
LOOK 8
Model: caleb edwards
Caleb is at the local grocery store wearing an upcycled floor-length coat made out of pant leg scraps and waistbands at the neckline. Details include signature Hilado pockets on the front and a frayed hem.
Under the coat is a matching yellow set with a double hem top and pants.
Styled with an upcycled tulip hat and pink shopping basket.
